If you want to do it, you'll need the chain, tensioner rails (2 pieces), upper guide rail, plastic guide rail with new "e" clips, crank sprocket, cam sprockets, lock plates, sealing washers and o-ring, timing gasket set, and flywheel holder. I don't know what size the crank hub bolt is, but it's on there pretty tight. A shop will charge you an arm and a leg to do it--probably in the $1500 range for parts and labor.
Get on the E30M3 SIG list at www.bimmers.com. Well worth the $12 for some sage advise and total lack of flaming.
