Hi,
can anyone help me solve the following....
i have installed a complete wiring harness due to the
previous owner bridging terminals in fuse box to fix elec. prob1em but only caused about 3/4 of the loom to burn out.
anyway i managed to install the wiring loom (eventually)
and everything works ok apart from the fuel pump.
at first i suspected the relay so went on to check everything as follows...
relay (fitted new one just in case)
fuel pump ok
(bridged terminals 30 to 87b on the relay socket
and fuel pump ran)
i have managed to get the car running by taking a live 12+ on 2nd stage wire with in-line fuse from the ignition switch
to a switch on the dash and then soldered that directly
to term 87b on the relay and inserted relay. now the fuel
pump runs on 2nd stage ignition with the dash switch on,
the car starts and runs as normal,
can anyone help find out why there is no signal to tell
relay to switch on fuel pump when starting/running engine.
or can send me a wiring diagram,
also after replacing the wiring loom the Tachometer does not
work now any idea`s?
(UK)1983 E30 320i ( L-Jetronic )
any help would be very much appreciated
Thanks, Matt
