My M3's in the garage for the winter - I opened the hood yesterday and found some seed hulls and mouse poop under the fusebox! I had placed a couple bags of mothballs in the engine compartment, but apparently didn't put in this spot. I don't think they got any wiring, though. Also no sign of mice in the interior. I cleaned it up, added a bunch more mothball bags, and set a few traps.

So i'd like some comments on my idea of sealing up the car: I was going to get a big 12x20 plastic tarp, roll the car onto it, put my breathable car cover on, and tape the dropcloth up onto the car cover. Is this a good idea? Or do I run the risk of just trapping alot of moisture and causing more harm than good?

Thanks
-Ken

Ken,
Be sure you check the trunk, the little guys can find all kinds of ways to get in. I use a "car jacket", it's one of the best investments I've made for storing my 88m3. Use a soft cover under it, make sure the car is dry and leave the windows cracked about an inch. Good luck,
Pat

Ken,
Don't forget to close your recerculation door
on your ac system. this is one way those creep
can get inside your car. to do this simply turn on
the recirc.swich on leave it on and then turn off the engine. clean the surounding area don't give those menace a reason to go into your garage. in
my case i use to leave my dog food in my garage,
rat favorite. goodluck on your hunt
