So is it that part labeled "1"? Have you already checked it out?
My seat frame broke a couple of months ago and a BMW tech said he had seen it happen before. Mine was the bottom seat frame where the back pivots on it. On mine, it made it impossible to adjust the recline of the seat and made the seatback wobbly.
The part was $230 from www.irontoad.com. (list minus 20% or so).
If I had more time, I might have just found a seat somewhere but its my only car (unfortunately) and I didn't want the seat getting more messed up.
Good luck,
Jon
Does anyone have this seat frame or know where I can get it? The dealer wants $550.00, but there has to be a better price out there. Somehow the frame under the left bolster is completely broken causing the seat to lean all the way back. You can imagine what kind of looks I get at red lights ;^). If anyone can be of assistance, I would greatly appreciate it. Failing that, I need a tan leather sport seat in good condition - like fast.
Thanks and take care.
