Yeah you moron, Did you ever watch a DTM race? The 2 cars were so even, that's why it provided such good racing. The mercedes had more power (by 1991 it had around 380ps at that time the m3 had just gotten a power up to 350-360ps in 90' it had 340ps) somtimes the mercedes looked to be handling better but ultimatly the ///m3 had better brakes Because it weighed less, but in DTM if you finish good you have put on weight/ballast to even things out so even that proved not to be a big factor...when you came down to it the m3 handled better and that's why it won the championships it won. And who WHOOPED both of our asses....Hans Stuk in the big huge tub that they called the Audi V8! The mustangs and the opels tried but it took a v8 with quattro to capture the podium from our little four bangers....
1984 BMW 635 CSI
1985 Volvo 240 Turbo
1986 Rover Vitesse
first year of m3
1987 BMW M3 -Eric van de Poele
1988 Ford Sierra Cosworth
1989 BMW M3 Team: Schnitzer -Roberto Ravaglia
1990 Audi V8 quattro
1991 Mercedes 190 E Team: AMG
1992 Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI
bmw ///m3 2 championships
mercedes 190 evo 1 championships
So you see our cars got beat by fords, audis and the mercedes.
If you bought all these cars at the dealer which one would be the fastest?
THE FORD- that's why after it won they disqualifeid the turbos
of course my second pick, because it is better off the showroom floor, would be my bmw m3.
but when you start tweaking the suspension and the engines especially if he puts a cage in it, I could definatly see him passing me at the track.
Don't get to cocky about your M3's because there is alot out there that especially in capable hands that would leave you looking at their taillights....
Pedro "///M3 sickness"
would never sell or trade for almost anything
