I have received requests to build a Strong-Strut to fit the E30 series of cars. One of your fellow owners suggested I hit the MB with a survey, so here goes. In case you're now familiar with the Strong-Strut, ours is the only all solid steel machined SS available. It is the pinnacle in quality but priced below the major suppliers. See all the details on the Strong-Strut web page. We have been concentrating on the Z3 series of cars and an E30 Strong-Strut would be about the same prices you will see on the web page. I would appreciate geting your input and will decide from the results whether we will go ahead with an E30 model. Our SS web page will probably answer most of your questions but feel free to email me direct if you like. Thank you for your help and please remember I was asked to do this by one of your own.I would agree with Roger at the bottom. In order to win us over the price of the brace for E30s will have to be in the $150 to $200 range. The Sparco brace at this point is around $100.
I personally have an Eibach brace, it *does* indeed make a difference as I autox my car a lot and track it every once in a while. The E36 guys may not notice much of a difference since they have the option of the X-brace and their chassis is stiffer but the E30s do benefit from a strut tower brace.
Make a good relatively inexpensive one and you will win us over. At $350 I doubt many of us will be buying one.
