Well, for the first year, i ran it everyday (missouri - summer is quite hot), and later i moved to dallas tx, and then my problems began. Especially during summer, you cannot run the AC with the MAF on, it will die when you stop at the stoplight. The idle is quite erratic during summer, but i had the MAF on my car for the whole month of January, driving everyday and never had a problem, the idle seemed fine, but the real test will be during summer.

I will agree with jim c that this is not street legal...and that is why i run it on the track only, and replace it with the stock AFM while driving on the street.

When in missouri, i totally loved the MAF, driving it everyday, everywhere without a single problem.

But so far, i like it very much, the power delivery is smooth, just like the dyno curve.

It is alot of money to lay down ($900) for this system, but you may also want to check Dynospot's MAF kit, and his uses a chip to control the MAF instead of the controller unit that comes with the Split second unit.

I think during their beta testing, they also experienced the erratic idle and rough driving...i think they are working on those bugs...and i bet their system is cheaper.

My buddy will be doing a comparison test in a few weeks, comparing the stock AFM with the Alpha-N intake system.

hope this helps
franklin
