Are the interior lights, the ones in the headliner supposed to turn on automatically when the doors open? There seems to be three separate positions. This is the second e30 I have owned and the second one that the lights did not work. Maybe they are working appropriately. If not, any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. JOE

No, I think only when the key is on the ignition.in position2 and start. unless something is malfuntioning.
