First, let me say that you might not want to go through the trouble. Adding length on the bottom of the pivot is very useful. It shortens the throws without shortening the lever. Subtracting length from the top is usually pretty useless. Sure, the throws are a bit shorter but they aren't likely to be any faster. Plus, it makes the lever farther from the steering wheel and a longer reach from the driver. That'll slow you down.

I originally had a Momo knob installed on top of my Turner shortshifter. Sice then I switched over to the lighted one piece knob and boot from Turner (O.E.). After the switch the new unit looks taller, and feels longer to throw. Is there a way for me to make lever shorter?
