Well if I cant manage the tightening I guess I will have to give the car up!!! :)

If any of you have the easy method for tightening belts please let me know (I have an 88 M3) It seems the shop I took it to for alternator bushings liked the sound of screeching belts over 4000 rpm. Sorry about the dumb question but I want to avoid doing more work than is needed.

use the adjusters that the alternator is held up by. get a friend to help its easier. i had my front bumper off and the car up in the air and did it from the bottom. takes two seconds
hey if you cant do it you could pass your car off to me if you like.
