DTM stands for Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (sp?) which is the German touring car racing series where the E30 M3 competed.

DTM style tips are the exhaust tips that point upward at an angle. I guess they originated in DTM racing. I have heard many explanations of why they are that way but I'm not sure which is true. I don't really like the way they look. Some do though.

What is the DTM on the topic of exhaust systems? Some say supersprint is the only one with the DTM tips.
