I have not replaced my timing chain yet but I know the job is around $1K at a reputable E30 M3 shop here in the SF Bay Area, parts and labor...

115-130K the Motors start to go? What guru gave you that info? My car has almost 190K and the motor is still strong and I am the second owner. Dyno'd the car last year and pulled 169HP at the rear wheels... Good luck in your search...

Hey Robert... At what mileage did you do a timing chain replacement. Do you remember what parts were replaced and what it set you back $$. My 88 has 113K and I know it needs this done in the near future. Any feedback?
