I'm in the process of replacing my windshield. Wholesale cost is $400 from PPG. I'm als, replacing the external gasket/seal. My car had a sordid past, i.e. midwest roots, which contributed to the rust below the windshield. Hopefully will have the rust treated and windshield installed tomorrow. (Since it's snowing, the desire to quicken the process is nil.)

Can anyone give me information about the difficulty replacing the windshield for a 1988 M3? I have the detailed directions from a BMW technicians manual about how one installs the windshield for the 1988 M3, the suction cups to hold the window and I also found out that one can purchase the windshield online from Windshields To Go for $294. This is a true E30 M3 windshield and not the windshield for the 325 E30. I think the adhesive and two gaskets for the windshield can be purchased also. Can anyone tell me how difficult or easy this can be?
