Drill a pilot hole first, and use very short screws. I wouldn't recommend mounting amplifiers upside down due to the heat, especially if your running large (multiple) amps. Heat rises and that wouldn't be beneficial to the equipment. I mounted both my amps to the back of the rear seats. Also if you are handy with wood, and carpeting you can make a nice cover to show the faces of the amps, and hide the wiring.
What did you use to secure them upside down to the rear deck? I don't know what kind of screws to use to screw the crossovers into the sheetmetal on the bottom of the deck. Will I have to drill a pilot hole first? I was also thinking about mounting my amps under the rear deck. Is it okay to mount the amps upside down?
