Mine is missing too. I think it is a temp sensor thats function is to raise the idle a little when first start the car. I could be wrong about that. I've asked this question before but never got any solid responses.
The function of the second one is to shut down the compressor if the A/C is running and the coolant temp gets too high.
The first one is of course the infamous auxiliary fan switch (whose wires always break). :-)
