in my car ('87) the aux fan thermostat is connected to the radiator to the one of the electrical connections you mention, while the other is redundant.

As I understand later models had the aux fan thermostat connected on the housing of the engine thermostat, so both plugd on the radiator are redundand (my original thermostat had no place for that, while the one I bought a couple of months back did).

The temp gauges (one for motronic, one for driver's instruments) are located on the water pipe above the exhaust.

so, do not worry. If your original radiator had nothing there just leave them plugged and forget all about them!
