Depending on which sort of upgrade you are thinking about you should be able to better the factory Sport Evolution figures by a good bit.

They are : 0-100km/h 6.5
80-120km/h in 4th gear 7.6
0-1000m 25.7

Chipped these cars are a good bit faster. The fact that the maximum power is generated at redline means that they have to be really revved to get the full benefit and don't really feel that quick in normal situations. The stock Sport Evo engine was meant as the basis for a high revving race engine which lived out its short life well above 7000rpm.
