I am a visitor from the e31 board, and we are in the same boat as the e30 ///M3 guys in that the dealers are unfamiliar with these limited production vehicles. Just getting a little trim piece or a $0.95 rubber o-ring requires standing in line at the parts counter for an hour and then coming back another day to wait another hour to pay for it. Since we can't get part numbers, we can't easily mail order small parts from Zygmunt. These cars are getting old, and they need a lot of parts. BMW would find that THEY can save a lot of time if we came into the dealer armed with detailed information about the parts that we need to buy. I can think of about 20 assorted clips, trim, connectors, covers, etc..that would total more than $200 that I'm not going to spend hours in line to buy.
