The tank inlet has a restrictor that only allows unleaded nozzles into the tank. A leaded gas nozzle is bigger, and the diesel is huge. You would have had to hold the little metal flapper open with something to get the fuel into the tank.
Drain the tank and all lines. Change your fuel filter. Remove the fuel return line from the rail, and use a gasoline-proof catch can. Fill the tank with a couple gallons of unleaded. Jumper the pump relay. Let a gallon or two flow out of the rail. Reassemble everything. Refill with gasoliine from now on.
