Okay, I get my car back three weeks ago (after it was in the bodyshop for over 4 months) and as I was vacuuming the car I noticed the rear foot wells were literally SOAKED! I lifted the carpet and was able to squeeze the water from the foam. I noticed a small hole in the passenger side foot well and noticed the foam was dirty in this area. I went to a body shop and had them weld up the hole. However, I don't think this is the culprit for all the water. Also, this would only make the rear passenger side foot well wet, it would not account for the rear driver's side foot well being soaked. I removed all the side panels and the metal is dry. I removed the rear seat and the back rest and noticed the padding under the seat area was a bit damp, but no water pooling. I will try to dry out the carpet and then do the spray hose test and see if there is any water leaks. Is there any areas I should be looking out for?

As I attempted to remove the carpet I noticed the heating vent located on the driver's side of the center hump to contain some anti freeze residue. There is also a bit of green discoloration around the carpet area. The carpet under this area is also a bit oily (like antifreeze). What could be the cause of this?

Finally, I've tried and tried, but have not succeeded in removing the damn carpet. What is located on the center dash in front of the ashtray (just under the radio area). Is this a heater? How do I get the carpet out from under this area? Do I have to remove the whole section? I've already removed the shifter and front and rear ashtray sections, but the carpet seems to be hung up under this "heater" area.

Thanks for any assistance you may have to remedy these problems!
