I'm not sure, because we drove slowly through towns every so often, therefore using less fuel. My trip computer reckons I average around 25 miles per gallon on a daily basis, and I think that the average for the trip was around 18 mpg.
PS: I should be attending a track day at an air field some time soon, and they have a long straight so I can find out my car's true maximum. A mate of mine has a TVR Tuscan, and he is expecting to see 180 mph.My 1990 E30 M3 (unmodified, imported German car) did an easy 145 mph in France last year. I reckon it would have done 150 mph, but I ran out of road. The car was happy to cruise at 120 mph for the length of France, into Monaco and then into Italy. The fuel bill was enormous, and I only got caught speeding once, the fine cost £60. Happy days.

U.K.
I was wandering if any of you would care to share what top speed you have got your E30's to. Is 143 mph true?
thanks for your time
Matt
