When I turn the AC on I can hear the compressor go on and see the slight change in RPM, but the air does not get cold. Does this mean that I just need a recharge? Any help appreciated, this board has been a big help to me. Thanks all.

Here's start your engine let run up to normal operating temp.then turn your ac on and check the sight glass on your receiver drier
if your ac is have enough freon it sight glass
should be clear, if you see bubbles specially whenthe compressor is cycling then chances your just low on refrigerant.and it needed to be recharge.and while your at it visually check
all your a/c lines connection for sign of leaks
you will know right away because there will be oil and dirtbuild up to the joint. good
