a bad idea
If you are talking about the rain gutter strip then ...............it is held on by small spring steel clips that have "teeth" in them. They bite against the roof of the car and are basically designed to go one way ...on.......they aren't so powerfull that you can't just pull them off, but they do hold the piece on at 150 mph. I needed some of these clips and the dealer wouldn't sell them seperatly....they wanted $125 for the moulding and the clips....so I went to a junkyard to get some......maybe you can go to a yard to "practice" removing one from any 80's bimmer....there are four clips up the A pillar I believe......Maximillian's could prob. get the parts seperatly. I would recommend at least replacing with new clips as they tend to rust...HTH
I NEED TO SO THAT NEXT WEEK WHEN I GET SOME PAINT WORK DONE THEY DONT DO SOME CHEEP SHIT AND TAPE IT OFF!!
