Euro..
6 individual throttle bodies. (very responsive engine)
Aluminum engine block (dont know if they all came that way).
Double VANOS.
racing intake
Handmade engine
The US spec engine is 240hp/236ft-lbs and has a redline of 7000 in 1st and 2nd gears, 3,4,5 have redlines of 6800.
the euro engine is 321hp/258ft-lbs with a redline of 7400.
I dont know the gearing specs but they were created so the US would have similar 0-60 times.
When i do an aluminum block transfer to the e30m3, where weight and balance are a major issue, its sure gonna be the euro spec! ;)

viva e30 M3s!
I don't understand why are people so hype up on the S52 engine. Are they any better than the M52 US motor? The Euro motor has 321hp and 260 peak torque but the 0-60 time is about the same compared with M52 US model, why is that? On the other side, I were told by my local machanic shop that the Euro engine can be as fast as an M52 engine with supercharge. If this is true, I don't understand why the Euro car 0-60 time is only as fast as the US motor? Also, if I am gona import one, what kinda parts do I have to look for the car
