This may not be true. As you would figure the brakes for the e39 are all the same so you would think that they would design the same clearence regardless or wheel. A 5mm spacer will not only make your tires stick out to far but rub the fender well around the area near the door. You need at least 60mm(I Think) from the face of the rotor to the back of the wheel. Note 25.4mm in an inch. The 5mm just won't cut it. I know I am in the same boat you are. You can try calling Race tech engineering in Long Beach CA(Brembo USA Distr.). Jaime was the person there who developed the e30 m3 kit. The distance between the face of the rotor and the back of the wheel is called the x-factor (no Bull)Thats what they call it. You can ask jaime exactly what the measurment is. Then go out and see if you have the room. Make sure to take the measurment to take into the account for the 13' rotor. As the parallel spokes bend in at the top. Which gives less clearence for the caliper. You can also take a look at a lotus esprite V8. That uses the same caliper. If you know somebody or if there is an exotic car shop near you can measure it. I plan on using my same style/size wheel with an e46 euro offset 38mm. My style 18's are offered in europe only on e39 and e46. With a 18mm spacer. My buddy has bbs rc with a e36 offset wheel in front with his Brembo kit also. I don't think you can get the parallel with a 38mm offset only 20mm for e39 and 13mm for 7ser. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news..........

...The 20mm offset will not work with a brembo big brake kit...

Is this only for the Style 42 wheels, or is this true for all 18x8 ET20 wheels?

The reason I'm asking is that I have a set of M Parallel wheels in 18x8 ET20 and I have ordered the Brembo 13" brake kit too. Getting spacers to space the wheel out 5mm might do the trick. I'm wondering if the design of our wheels is different enough that my combo might work? The caliper might clear in this situation since it is going to be placed further out on the radius of the wheel. The M Parallel have more and more clearance as you move outwards along the spokes.

Any thoughts on this?

IT WILL FIT FINE! YOU HAVE THE ONE PIECE COPY OF THAT WHEEL ADN SHOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THESE BRAKS!
