please help, i have a m3 88 with stalling problem and so i took it to a place in the Bay Area called German Motor Specialist in 380 San Aleso, Sunnyvale, 94086
they diagnosed the problem as a faulty relay and also faulty rotor and distributor cap but they are quoting part price alone for the rotor to be $98 and also the distributor cap at $298
Is this correct???? or am i being screwed bad!
i saw ads on mesaperformance and allbimmerparts.com for about $98 for BOTH rotor and Cap.
Please let me know if this is the correct price and also if any one has used this shop before.
Thanks in advance

It's true, you can buy both for under $100, they're just Bosch parts after all.

If purchased from a BMW dealership at retail prices they are what they quoted you, 100 for one and almost 300 for the other.

Now you see why we buy parts at discount places and wrench on these bad boys ourselves!! I can't afford a mechanic so I have to become one. :)
