Sorry for the metaphore but this is how it feels: actually of it doesn't feel. The e36 is a very potent chassis with a better suspension, only problem is that you do not feel what you do. The car doesn't give any feedback, it is more cushioned, even the ball joints are sleeved in rubber...

The e30 M3 has more feedback, is rarer, is the last homologation special BMW will ever build, and will keep its value, it will even increase over time as the pased few years have shown.

But it all depends on your planned use. The e36 325 is better suited for an everyday use. The e30 M3 feels perfect on a track.
