Need advice on purchase (archive)

I found an 88 M3 for sale in my area. It has 85K miles of which 63K were put on by 1993 (the current owner purchased it at this time). It is covered, garaged and has synthetics throughout. Pretty much stock except for chip and air filter.

The owner is asking 16K for it, and I wanted to ask the experts if this was a reasonable price for it.
