Check your spark plugs! I had a similar experience with my E30 M3. My plugs were gapped approximately 250% of the factory setting. After replacing the plugs, the car started on the first crank.

If anyone can help me out........I have an 88 E30 with 132k. I've never had an ignition problem but last night, I was driving down the highway and the car hesitated, as if I had a tank of bad gas. I stopped for about an hour at my brother's house and when I went to leave, the car wouldn't start. It cranks over just fine, but won't start, as if it has no spark. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!
