Something strange happened today with my E30 M3 at an auto cross event. In two high-speed left turns, the car seemed to have a fuel-pickup problem. It was almost like the car flooded and then regained power. We had over half a tank of gas remaining. Has anyone ever have this happen to them? Any suggestions on things to check or consider? Thanks in advance...

What I've heard people doing to solve this is replacing the fuel pump(s). Some cars have one, others have an out & in-tank pump.

FYI I can run mine almost empty and on R-compound tires so I'm cornering higher than on street tires and it doesn't hiccup at all. The E36 M3s have the exact same problem, some experience fuel starvation others don't.
