Very little difference between the years, just slight changes such as pop-out rear windows, stereo upgrades, airbox upgrades, steel vs. Aluminum control arms (most are probably upgraded to the aluminum by now anyway), and color changes. Put the car on a lift, look for oil leaks, and any hidden damage underneath the car. Pull back the carpets in the trunk...a way to check for repaired quarter panels. Look carefully at lines of the car for straightness. Check for squeaking by shaking the engine hard...if it squeaks, good sign of bad engine mounts. When driving, downshift, if there's alot of movement in the stick as you downshift/rev-match, could be bad tranny mounts (I don't mean shifter vibration...you'll know it if you feel it). Check for rust at the base of the windshield...common problem area. These are just SOME of the things you should check. Hope this helps.
