The car is worthless. Sounds like a bunch of excuses to me. You should only make an offer if you a) own or are good friends with someone who owns a body shop, AND b) are going to strip the car and race it. There are tons of good, used E30 M3's out there with little or no rust, some standard mods, and little or no track time.

There is really no such thing as a bent frame modern cars. Either the ENTIRE car is straight or it isn't. The car is a buch of stamped sheet-metal pieces welded together. If you "bend the frame", you have to cut and weld new pieces to fit and/or put the car on an alignment rack and coerce the metal back into place. All of those welds will rust over time. Rust is like cancer to a car.

If you can see the car, drive it, and have it thoroughly inspected by a qualified shop, then put down an offer. If you can' do all of these, don't even consider buying that car. It's incredibly easy to buy a money pit.
