From what I hear a 2.5 (well built) can last a long time. Where a supercharger on the motor can be unreliable and be just a big plain P.I.T.A.


I was asking around about going to a 2.5L and everyone is quoting me like $10,000-$15,000 for the conversion. Why in the world would anyone do that when you can get an ERT supercharger (~290 HP) with installation for about $6,000?

I had a supercharged VW Corrado awhile back and I beat the hell out of that thing and it ran great for years. Surely the S14 is a better quality motor and wouldn't have any problems with a supercharger? What am I missing?
