I would be interested to see what a 3.2L alu six with individual throttles and some killer headwork and cams would put out power-wise. It would be nice to have a 300+hp motor with loads more torque and less weight (compared to the S14).

I shoehorned a KKK turbo M88(euro-spec M6) into one, back in 1990. The customer had pockets up to his ears, and also wanted his M3 to have AWD. So, I welded a clip from the 325iX first, then mated the drivetrain to the 418bhp M88. The torque(396/lb.ft) was so extreme- the chassis was
twisted like a wrung-out towel.
A month later, we did it all over again with another M3 clip- this time aluminum spaceframe
reinforced. My customer brough the M3 beast to Asia, where he took first in his class in the Hong Kong/Beijing Rally.
After spending almost $50,000 on the work- amazing things can be done to the e30 m3...
