I'm also thinking of going the forced induction route, and it seems that the big concern of most people is that the motor wasn't designed to handle forced induction yada yada yada ... but what I know for a fact is that many many many people add superchargers and turbos to the e36 M3s and they run fine for years. This I know for a fact because 2 of my friends have them - 1 has a supercharger and the other has an AA turbo and they both run fine despite being pounded on for several years. So my thinking is that if the e36 motor which wasn't designed to run forced induction can handle it, why couldn't our S14s? Am I missing something? It just seems that a lot of people tend to give their opinion which might sound logical, but it's not based on real world facts ... no disrespect to anyone by the way ...
