Hard core (read: people who have money and a brain, which is rarer than you think) porsche people dont even like autothority! I dont know how they even stay in business.

This topic gets re-hashed every few days, so I'll keep it brief...

I like the Jim C chip, have one in the M3 and M5. Many have tossed the Dinan in favor of the Jim C, also. My friend did a while back. I bought the Jim C to try in his M3, and he liked it better--smoother power delivery, no flat spots, tuned at part- and full-throttle unlike most others. My M3 revs like crazy up to 7800, no drop-off in power. Jim C also developed the Shark Injector for OBDII cars. It's the only one that the customer can use by himself, no limit on the number of reprograms, and 100% reversible in minutes. No one else has anything like it. You have to send your OBDII ECU to the other guys, and they either solder in their own chip (voids warranty) or reprogram it and send it back.

I've never heard anything good about Autothority chips for BMWs. They're Porsche guys.

Go to bimmerworld.com for Jim C software. Free shipping in continental US.
