Has anybody had this recurring problem of exhaust manifold studs and or nuts loosing up?

I have to retorque my almost monthly.

Any suggestions???

TIA

Hey guys!!
Thanks for the input.

In order to answer your questions, yes I have replaced all the studs and nuts and gaskets about 2 or 3 years. This was done when I discoveried that #1 was missing 2 studs and the nuts. The other clyinders are OK; it is just #1 that is giving me trouble. Fortunately, there were no broken studs so I didn't have to take the head out.

Howeve this time I plan to take the manifold off and us a stud extracting/installing tool to make sure the stud is in completely. On the previous attempt, I did the old fashioned double nut techique.

As for the drilled out stud thing, too evasive and risky. I will just used Locktite.

Thanks for the help guys.
