....It was already done when I got the car. In fact it's been done Diamond Black the colour of the car. It has not been lacquered so it reamins matt. However, as Ritter says it does seem prone to chip easily and I can see'll have to re-do it occasionally.

I wonder whether if I oversprayed it with matt lacquer that this might help prevent it chipping and showing the chrome underneath?

I want to paint my kidney grills black. Has anyone ever done this themselves?? I haven't seen a company that sells black kidney grills but I still think I would rather paint them myself to save money. What kind of paint should I use and how should I prep the crome to be painted over?? thanks
