Does your car make a good daily driver? (archive)

Im thinking about purchasing one of these badboys, preferably low miles(50k-60k). I currently have an e36M3 as my daily driver and its unbelievable. However I've always wanted an e30M(its more of a toy and seems more fun not to mention how rare it is) unfortunatly i can't afford both. Therefore the e30 would be my daily driver if i decide to do this(i only drive about 6k miles per yr, i live in an urban area, bklyn ny).
Now understand any car can be a daily driver if your willing to pay for the steep maintance and repairs, do these cars fall under that catergory? not the most mechanically inclined guy around either. I know there reliable, but i've also heard horror stories about high repair and maintance bills, whats up with that?
So please i'd appreciate as much advice as possible.
