My car was at Don Fields' shop awhile back and he did some AWESOME work on it. But one of the things he did was change my break pads to Mintex Blue pads, and now they are starting to squeal a lot. I'd rather not take the car all the way back to Don's place just for this, so I'm going to try to fix it myself. Does anyone have any ideas what it could be? I've never done anything with this car but I want to start learning how to work on it. The brakes work really good, they just squeal when I'm stopping at a light, etc. and it's starting to get embarrassing.

If you know how to change pads.... pick up some anti squeal goo from a parts store. It's sometimes sold in a spray can or individual packages. Spread some on the back of the pad where the pad contacts the caliper and that should take care of the squealing for a while.

Crimeneys! You should hear my car, I drive it with semi-racing pads on the street (Porterfield R4, and Hawk HP Plus) and they both squeal like a garbage truck. I kind of like it that way. :)
