I put replacement carpeting in my '88 ///M3, While working the carpet around the pedels, I found what looks like a temp sensor dangeling on the driver's side of the heater core cover. It is pointy, about 4" long, 1/8" wide with a rubber 90 degree fitting at the wire end and a rubber barb ring just at the end of the rubber part. I could not find where is is supposed to go.
Thats the AC temp sensor.There is a hole it slides into on the heatercore,evaporater case.
