You might want to look for a car in central kentucky. I know of one that may be coming on the market around Lexington. If you find a alpine white E30 M3 with white gauges for sale around Lexington, defintely look at it: it is a strong example (it is the 2nd strongest E30 M3 in central KY, with the 1st belonging to guess who...). I cant think of the current owners name of the top of my head. If you want a pre-purchase inspection done, take it to Motorsports of Lexington: they are very familiar with the car, as someone who used to work there had owned it. They are also the only place I take my car to anymore. They are EXTREMELY good and knowledgable.

i picked up the car today to take it to Just BMW in Cincinnati. i brought it on the highway and the shimmy was gone. later i discovered between 50-65mph it shimmys. the guys there were great. we sat around talking about e30 m3s and they went through the car with a fine tooth comb. once it was up in the air what a piece of shit. here is the list they gave me that it needs:
drive belts
fuel hoses
front subframe broken
front caliper stuck
tires
springs & shocks
engine smokes under hard accel
body is all banged up
frame rails been hurt
etc.
the motor felt really strong but under hard accel it just smokes oil. i feel so much better now that i know and it was totally worth checking it out. the guys told me they thing that either a piston ring isnt sealing or its broken. anyway im not going to buy it. and my search continues.
