I use 15 for the high beams as I have 100w bulbs. The HID are said to draw as much as a 35W and as little as 25w so I don't see why your fuses are blowing. I would run a relay to each headlight side. That way you no longer get full juice going to the headlight switch. Rather a small amount just enough to trigger the relay. The full juice now goes to the headlights. Which means less current hence less draw on the fuse for that circuit.. Just my 2 cents . I planned to do relay's because I wanted to do HID's myself. Problem is the low beams go out when you hit the highs. As you know HID don't like that, as it takes a second or two for them to reignite.
OK Just got my Xenon Conversions in and I tried to install them. Yes I got the TMS version. Anyway, Installation was very easy except for the ABS pump blocking a mounting surface area. Well started with the rightside, done, very nice and bright! Then installed the leftside, when I turned on the lights, the fuses for both sides blew! Shinto! I replaced the 7.5 fuses 5x each side, still blew. I tried a 10 and it still blew.
Soooooo, do I have to rewire my headlights with upgraded wires? Any suggestions are welcome!
I'm very frustrated so,
HHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPP!
ahem, sorry
Magnus
