That is just a relay they sell. I think what you are trying to do is have the low beams stay on when you hit the high's. This is a simple operation. You have to alter the high beam relay (k3). You have two choices. One buy the relay from steve d (www.ultimategarage.com ) . Or just short out pin (30) and (87a). You can use heavy guage wire or a fine electrical store will sell these special trick bridges that are made for that purpose.
But as far as applying direct voltage to the lights buy using relays and only sending signal input to the stalk switch. Use the jacobs or call up Hella. They sell a kit just for that purpose.... As always applying high electrical draw in an early BMW is a no no. These kits will help
