Ryan, my positive battery cable had a hole worn through the bottom of it's protective coating and it gave me fits trying to figure out what was causing my charging problems. I replaced alternator, starter, battery, etc before I finally felt around and found it. Look where the cable enters the plastic battery box cover, it sits on a small metal raised lip at that area. I think that my car wasn't loosing charge while sitting but rather when starting and using the accessories. Good luck, I hope that helps!!
