OK New technology/rubber/tread pattern:

Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position
225/50/15 = $164.00 x 4 = $656
215/40/17 = $281.00 x 4 = $1,124 = $468 more, for low profiles. Guess what, the .3" is 4% extra tread. We are NOT pro race drivers. We can not use the sidewall responce yhat these tires give us. It is easy to mistake the grip from better tires for the control of low profiles . If you want low profiles for looks, OK. But you ARE giving up grip, and spending big bucks. If it don't go, chrome it, eh? If I spend an extra $468 every 6 or 8 months, I want go for the dough. But that's just me.
