Hey there. I was also considering purchasing an HID "conversion" kit but during my research, I stumbled upon some interesting information.

I have tried PIAA "Super Whites", Jimmy Wu's "Xenon Charged" bulbs and just ended up being happier with my stock halogens (and save a chunk of change).

"So you've read about HID headlamps and have it in mind to convert your car. A few mouse clicks on the web, and you've found a couple of outfits offering to sell you a "conversion" that will fit any car with a given type of halogen bulb, for between $900 and $1300. STOP! Put away that credit card. Trying to "convert" halogen headlamps to HID is an unsafe thing to do. There are *NO* legitimate or safe HID retrofits for the headlamps of any car which didn't have HID lamps as a factory option. Here's why: "

And now, the rest of the story (as Paul Harvey says)

Take care.

Disclaimer: I posted the same exact message on the E30 M3 Sig, so don't get bored with it!

OK, Turner told me to use an upgraded fuse. I'm no electrician, (I'm almost not human) so I didn't want to plop a 15amp fuse in with out Don Fields Permission! He gave me the thumbs up and I now have very bright lights. They are totally plug-n-play, except for bending a little metal around the bulb retaining ring. I directed the lights accordingly, and I can't believe the difference they make. And yes Auto-X guys, they do give you 30 more horses, and help when Hydroplaning!

Thanks,
Magnus
