Anthony may be right with the stereo. The stock one is okay, but if you've got an aftermarket el cheapo one it can drain the battery even when the radio is turned off. I had this problem. The amp was leaky and drained the battery even when there was no signal going to the remote turn on wire, apparently amp was of a poor design. I removed the amp and there was no more dead battery.
The alarm can also drain the battery. The ground wire for the alternator could cause the battery not to be charged. Check for a poor connections rust or corrosion.
Here's my two cent, undo your ground
cable from your batery, connect a test
light between the neg. pole of the battery
and to the neg cable. in serries light
test light would be on. then have somebody
start pulling fuses on the fuse box if the
test light turn off you have isolated the circuit on the car that could be where the short to ground is. you will probably need a wiring
diagram for this. but this will eliminate a lot of the guess work.
