5000 ukpounds for a 1990 car? Well I hardly see any `87 cars advertised for much less than that. We do have a lot of imports here but even so........
I dont think the people who write this stuff know anything about the cars and how many were actually made etc.
If someone is told me I wouldnt get over 5000ukpounds for my 45kmile car (which I`m sure I would) then I would rather park it outside and use it to grow vegetables in than sell it for that price :) (or just garage it until it is worth something decent)
On a whim I decided to check the value, according to Kelly Blue Book, of an '88 M3 with 43,000 miles in excellent condition located in a west Los Angeles ZIP code. Oh my gawd!!! Trade in value was an insultingly low $6,775!?! Retail value was a crack-smokin' low of $10,310!?!
We all know that KBB values are way off for our cars and that there is no way KBB can factor in the real world demand and worth for E30 M3's but I was still surprised.
What is the scariest part about this is that your insurance company will use these numbers to determine what to pay you for your E30 M3 should it get totalled or stolen.
Just thought everyone could share my disbelief.
