Thanks for the advice on the ability to take the car to redline even with the stock valve springs. I guess with the 2.4L I'm getting more torque now that there is no need to spend time at redline on the street. I'm sure I'll end up near redline when I hit the track again. I do have the Jim C. chip so I've seen 7800 rpm before the rebuild.

Gustave thanks again, I love your website you've got the best write ups on our beloved cars. I figure if I need to rebuild again then I can go with a 2.5L bore. I guess I wanted to error on the safe side.
